The IAJHSC is governed by an elected Executive Director and an Executive Board of eight students and eight Student Council advisors, each elected from their respective districts at our annual state convention. Other association officers who are appointed non-voting members include our Assistant Executive Director, Executive Treasurer, Summer Leadership Camp Director, and Convention Coordinator.

From Our Executive Director
“As the Executive Director, it brings me great joy to welcome you to another exciting year of growth and leadership. As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I am filled with excitement for the journey ahead with the Illinois Association of Junior High Student Councils. Each year, our students and advisors remind us of the power of leadership, teamwork, and service—and this year is no exception.
Our theme, “7 Wonders of Leadership,” will guide us as we discover the unique strengths within each leader and the remarkable impact we can make together. Just as the Seven Wonders of the World inspire awe and admiration, our student leaders will demonstrate how vision, courage, compassion, and determination can shape schools and communities for the better.
The IAJHSC remains committed to training tomorrow’s leaders today. I cannot wait to see the creativity, growth, and dedication that our councils bring to life throughout this year. Together, we will celebrate the wonders of leadership in action.”
