“Get ready to blast off into an exciting new year with the IAJHSC! Our 2026–2027 theme, Launch into Leadership, challenges each of us to aim higher, explore new possibilities, and discover just how far strong leadership can take us.

Every great leader begins somewhere. You do not need to have all the answers or be the brightest star in the galaxy. Leadership begins when you step outside your comfort zone, use your voice, support your crew, and take action. Even small steps can create an impact that is truly out of this world!

Throughout the year, IAJHSC will provide opportunities for student leaders and advisors to connect, learn, and grow. Whether you attend a district workshop, participate in a statewide project, develop your skills at Summer Leadership Camp, or join us at the State Convention, each experience will help fuel your leadership journey. There may be a few asteroids along the way, but challenges are simply opportunities to adjust your course and keep moving forward.

Remember, leadership is never a solo mission. The strongest councils work as a team, encourage every member of their crew, and make sure no one is left floating in the background. When we combine our ideas, talents, and energy, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.

So, future leaders, buckle up and prepare for liftoff! Set your goals, chart your course, and get ready to make this year stellar. I cannot wait to see the creative ideas you launch, the communities you strengthen, and the positive changes you put into orbit.
